Mott MacDonald has been supporting infrastructure clients across the globe with their carbon reduction journey for over 10 years. LGNZ has partnered with Mott MacDonald to introduce the Moata Carbon portal in New Zealand. This initiative is considered a crucial initial step for councils on their journey to reduce carbon emissions. It provides evidence of how designs are influenced to be more environmentally friendly and can be used for measuring, reducing, and reporting carbon emissions.

Often those in a position to make the greatest carbon savings are not the same individuals who quantify carbon using the Moata Carbon Portal so Mott MacDonald's Carbon Dashboard can be used by stakeholders to measure, manage and mitigate infrastructure carbon through design innovation, informed decisions and stakeholder engagement.

Smart Power

LGNZ has partnered with Smart Power to help councils fully realise the savings related to streetlight usage. The electricity market has very strict rules about how energy is accounted for and our solution utilises dimming to reduce operational costs and reduce carbon offsetting.
