KnowHow's First Webinar

KnowHow, LGNZ's professional development programme, will run its first webinar next Tuesday, 22 May.

KnowHow, is partnering with SOLGM (the Society of Local Government Managers) to provide a one-and-a-half hour session on local government debt. The webinar presenters are LGNZ's governance manager, Dr Mike Reid, in Wellington, and local government finance expert and KnowHow facilitator, Philip Jones,  in Tauranga. Philip and Mike will be able to take questions from participating attendees from around the country.

KnowHow's manager Anne Gibson is excited by the move into new territory.

"Webinars mean participants can stay at their desks or in their homes without incurring travelling costs. For LGNZ they are also cheaper to run due to less expensive overheads," says Anne.

"Synergies between LGNZ and SOLGM is inevitable as both organisations work in the local government space and have considerable training expertise.

"We have had our practice run and we are ready to go."

If you would like to participate in the seminar, email sandra.scrimshaw@lgnz.co.nz or call Sandra on 04 924 1216.
