Conference 2010 Registrations Open

Registrations for the 2010 annual conference are now open on our website.  We expect very high attendance this year, with local body elections and the Auckland transition making local government the big issue of 2010.  I encourage you to register quickly to secure your place and take advantage of the early bird registration discount.

This year's conference theme is 'building prosperous places'.  It's about our role as councils in economic development and our drive to make our cities, towns and regions vibrant and successful.  Our line-up of New Zealand and international expert speakers will be addressing that issue as well as topics like infrastructure and even the place of branding in local government.

With elections in September, the final shape of Auckland being revealed in November, and the future and place of local government under the microscope, Conference 2010 could be the most important event of the year.

If you're interested in the issues councils face you need to register for Conference 2010: 'building prosperous places' - and you can do it right now.  I look forward to seeing you there.

More information on the Conference programme is available online here.
