Roger Blakeley, Chief Executive, Porirua City Council (recently appointed chief planning officer to Auckland Supercity)

Dr Blakeley is Chief Executive of the Porirua City Council, having taken up this position on 1 November 2000.

He has a degree in Civil Engineering and a PhD in Earthquake Engineering from the University of Canterbury, and a Business Management degree from Stanford University, California.

Dr Blakeley is married.  His wife's name is Lyn.  They have two adult children.  Nicholas is an Acting Manager at Treasury.  Their daughter, Marissa, is a social worker in Tower Hamlets, East London.

His leisure interests include following rugby, cricket, theatre, arts, current affairs, and good food and fine wine. 

Elaine Reilly, Chief Executive, Vision Manawatu

Elaine Reilly joined Vision Manawatu as Business Development Director shortly after she arrived in New Zealand in 2007. She took up post as CEO in May 09. 

Previously she had founded and run a business development consultancy in the UK.

Elaine sits on the board of EDANZ (Economic Development Association New Zealand).

Adrienne Young-Cooper, Urban and Infrastructure Technical Advisory Group, RMA Reforms

Adrienne Young-Cooper has been a planner for more than 30 years. She recently resigned from her company Hill Young Cooper Limited to pursue a career as a professional director.

Adrienne brings a planner's skills and world view to board rooms around New Zealand including Solid Energy, Auckland Regional Transport Authority, the Hobsonsville Land Company Limited, Housing New Zealand and Maritime New Zealand.

Most recently Adrienne was appointed by the Minister for the Environment as a member of  both the Urban Planning Technical Advisory Group and the Infrastructure Technical Advisory Group as part of RMA reform Phase II.  Adrienne Young-Cooper lives in Auckland with her husband and two dogs.

David Crawford, General Manager, LINZ

David Crawford is the General Manager Policy and Regulatory at Land Information New Zealand.  David has over 25 years experience in management, economics, natural resource management, regulatory and policy, working in both the public and private sectors. 

Before joining LINZ he held senior management positions in the Ministry of Transport, the Animal Health Board, Maritime Safety and the Petroleum Exploration Association.  He is Charted Fellow of the Charted Institute of Logistic and Transport and a Councilor of the Wellington District of the Automobile Association.
