National Council
Our National Council, who are the elected leadership of LGNZ, prepare a workplan and annual report that outlines priorities and projects in any given year. They will choose projects according to criteria, including the number of councils affected by the issue, the magnitude of the issue, the priority and timing of that issue or its potential impact.

LGNZ presents a consensus view and is the only organisation that can speak on behalf of all councils in New Zealand.
